The Hive Initiative is a non-profit organisation registered in Norway. This privacy policy will explain how our organisation uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

What data do we collect?
When you browse our website, we do not collect any of your personal identification information and do not use cookies. When you sign up for our email list, the information you enter is sent to our 3rd party email marketing provider Mailchimp. When you contact us to schedule a consultation for the Mini Climate Summit or other inquiries, your information entered is sent in an email to us. If you donate to us, your credit card information is stored securely through the Stripe payment service.
How do we collect your data?
In the forms on our webpages, you enter the following data, which we collect:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Your message, with details related to your contact question
- Payment processing for donations, stored securely through the Stripe payment service
We do not use cookies or obtain your data indirectly.
How do we use your data?
The data you send to us is either used to sign you up for our email list communications via Mailchimp, or sent to us in an email which we then use to reach out back to you to schedule time for a follow-up video chat. We do not share any of your information with other companies.
If you donate to us, your credit card information is managed securely through the Stripe payment service.
Our company securely stores the information you provide to us either directly in our emails, our email marketing service provider or in our payment processing provider. We will be happy to delete your data from our systems upon request sent to hello@hiveinitiative.org.
How do we store your data?

The Hive Initiative would like to send you updates on our efforts. If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date by either clicking “unsubscribe” on a marketing email from us (found at the bottom of the email), or by writing us directly at hello@hiveinitiative.org. You have the right at any time to stop the Hive Initiative from contacting you for marketing purposes.
The Hive Initiative would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request the Hive Initiative for copies of your personal data.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that the Hive Initiative correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request the Hive Initiative to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that the Hive Initiative erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that the Hive Initiative restricts the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the Hive Initiative’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that the Hive Initiative transfers the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
